the 150th Anniversary of
Solomon Lodge #271
2018-2019
On October 15, 2018 Solomon Lodge celebrated its 150th Anniversary.
Milestones in 2018:
​
in September MWB Robert Tim Thomas is elected Grand Master of Ancient Free and Accepted Mason of the State of Missouri for the ensuing year

in September WB Keith Jones is elected Worshipful Master of the Lodge for the ensuing year

in November, Solomon Lodge obtained a section of West Bypass expressway for littler clean up


in November, the first candidates initiated were Jonathan Marsh, Robert Powers and Chaz Powers


in November Michael Spence, SS, was presented with the Daniel Carter Beard Award for Scouting and Freemasonry




in December, Solomon Lodge received its first tiled floor in its location at 1930 W. Catalpa









in December, the first candidates to receive their Fellowcraft degree on the new tile floor were Jonathan Marsh, Robert Powers, and Chaz Powers

in December Brother Harley Samply is given his 50-year pin, as part of courtesy work for the Grand Lodge of Iowa

in December Danny Dubree, Junior Steward, is the first to give back his EA proficiency in the Masonic Year

in December, the first candidates to receive their Entered Apprentice degree on the new tile floor were from United Lodge #5





in January, the first candidates to be Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason in our 150th year and on the new tile floor were Robert Powers, and Chaz Powers

on January 11, 2019 The Grand Lodge of Ancient Free and Accepted Masons met at Solomon Lodge #271 and Opened on the Third ~ of Freemasonry for the purpose of re-dedicating the Lodge after 150 years of service.
Most Worshipful Brother Robert Tim Thomas, Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the State of Missouri, presided over the ceremony

in January Brother Gary Day is given his 50-year pin by RWB Tom Ross, DDGM of the 34th Masonic District of Missouri


in February Brother Robert Crampton is given his 50-year pin by RWB Tom Ross, DDGM of the 34th Masonic District of Missouri

in March Brother Charlie Bare is given his 40-year pin and Brother Jerry Snider is given his 50-year pin by RWB Tom Ross, DDGM of the 34th Masonic District of Missouri

in April Worshipful Brother Keith Jones is given his 25-year pin by RWB Tom Ross, DDGM of the 34th Masonic District of Missouri.
And RWB Carlin Smittle is awarded the 212 degree by RWB Jim McManigle.

in June Brother Larry Lovvorn is given his 60-year pin by RWB Tom Ross, DDGM of the 34th Masonic District of Missouri.

in July Brother Eddie Joe Boatright is given his 40-year pin by RWB Tom Ross, DDGM of the 34th Masonic District of Missouri.

in July Solomon Lodge #271, University Lodge #683, and The Gate of the Temple Lodge #422 assisted in setting the headstone for Civil War veteran and Brother John C. McQuiston, Indiana, at Maple Park Cemetery

in July Brother Don Back is given his 50-year pin by RWB Tom Ross, DDGM of the 34th Masonic District of Missouri.

And, the 150th year came to a close with the 151st Annual Elections
